Learn papermaking

This coming Thursday March 13 at 10am the first workshop for 2025 in making paper from weeds will begin at the entrance to Fay Smith wetlands in Neptune street Maryborough. There we will gather some weeds to take back to Papernicus paper studio where paper artist Zela Bissett will be conducting a full day workshop teaching participants how to turn weeds into botanical paper! Cost id $10 per participant and the workshop will finish at 2.30pm. Future dates for advanced sessions on March 27, April 10 and April 24. PM Zela for bookings.

Susan Zela Bissett (Zela) is an educator, writer and artist with a lifetime involvement in environmental education and advocacy. Zela was born on Butchulla Country in Maryborough and has worked as an artist, educator, permaculture gardener, studio potter and consultant. She is passionate about sustainable lifestyles, maintaining habitat for wildlife and about unleashing the creativity in all of us.
