Mary Poppins Festival Maryborough July 6

Each year Maryborough celebrates one of its famous daughters, author PL Travers, who became famous as the author of a series of books about Mary Poppins, the magical governess. This year I will be part of the festival and will be happy to teach a techniques for creating a friendship band of twined fibres.  Many other activities will be happening and you can see a full program at

As part of the Mary Poppins Festival Saturday July 6, 2019

Learn to create a twisted bracelet or necklace from natural materials

Suitable for 8 years and older               Project takes 10 – 15 minutes

Session Time: all day with a limit of 6 beginners at a time

In this workshop, participants will learn a simple technique creating twine from two strands of fibre. All materials are provided but by all means bring along fibres or natural trims such as shells, seeds that you would like to include.
